Ksenia and Steve were so in love, this wedding was an absolute joy to shoot! Ksenia is very beautiful and a great big personality! Her simple, traditional (Russian) wedding dress looked elegant and slightly regal, quite fitting for the surroundings, Bisham Abbey was once home to Henry VIII and Elizabeth I, it's a majestic 13th century wedding venue.
Bisham Abbey boasts a beautiful location, as the grounds lead to the River Thames, it's grand hall is a fantastic space for a proper wedding party! It was very sad that it poured down almost all day, but we did manage to get a few photographs outside!
Steve and Ksenia chose Bisham Abbey as they loved the history it encompasses, they both live in Russia, having the wedding in England ensured the important older members of the family could attend, and it was a party they didn't want to miss!
I loved the detailing of the Russian flag and the Union Jack and the theme spilled into the speeches, Ksenia's best friend and Maid of Honour translated the English spoken speeches into Russian and visa versa - which became more and more amusing as the guests enjoyed some more toasts with shots of vodka!
